Many schools understand that bullying is a growing problem, but they are often unsure of how to prevent bullying in their schools or how to intervene when bullying has already started to find it’s way into their school environment. Sheri specializes in supporting schools to develop and implement effective anti-bullying strategies for both prevention and intervention of bullying.
Sheri begins her work with each school by meeting with administrators in order to thoroughly understand their school’s current social/emotional climate, as well as their goals in implementing a prevention/intervention program. After the initial meeting, Sheri will develop a proposal for the school based on their school wide goals, the number of faculty/staff to be trained, and the amount of time they are able to commit to learning and implementing a program.
As schools vary in size, philosophy, population, resources, and time constraints, Sheri tailors each program to meet the needs of the individual school and does not promote or utilize one particular program for all schools.
School services include training faculty and staff in any of the following formats:
Half-day workshops – 3 to 4 hours
Full-day workshops – 6 to 7 hours
On site support with students – 2 to 6 hours per day
Administrator/Teacher Consultation – in person or via phone
Additionally, Sheri offers evening lectures/workshops for parents at elementary, middle, and high schools on all topics relating to child/adolescent development.
